Veterans Day is a reminder that freedom isn’t free—and that the life we get to build today was protected by people who were willing to serve something bigger than themselves.
To all my brothers and sisters who put on the uniform, I salute you.
Whether you served in peace or in war, whether your time in uniform was celebrated or carried quietly, you stepped forward when it counted. You accepted the weight of responsibility, the sacrifice, and the commitment that most people will never fully understand.
And that service doesn’t just happen “over there.” It shows up in the years afterward too:
the discipline it takes to rebuild normal life
the strength it takes to carry memories you didn’t ask for
the humility it takes to keep showing up for your family, your work, and your community
Veterans don’t just defend the country. Veterans often become the people others rely on—leaders, builders, protectors, and examples of what it looks like to endure and keep going.
If you’re a veteran reading this: thank you.
If you know a veteran: reach out and let them know they’re seen.
To every person who served—and to every family that served alongside them—thank you for your sacrifice, your commitment, and your courage.
Happy Veterans Day.
